Based on the experience and methods developed in PRETIV, outstanding results have been obtained by Peking university team leaded by Prof. Zhao Huijing at the Valeo Innovation Challenge 2015. After almost a year of preparation, the six finalist teams have presented their works on September 28, 2015 to a jury of twelve automobile and innovation experts. 1328 international student teams participated to the Challenge. The team FalconView leaded by Yongkun Fang and Wang Chao (PKU PhD students) won the 1st prize of the challenge. Heudiasyc has successfully participated with its own autonomous vehicle to the GCDC 2016 « Grand Cooperative Driving Challenge », held on the A270 highway between Helmond and Eindhoven on May 28-29, 2016, in which 10 European teams competed with each other. The challenge was a combination of vehicle automation (making it self-driving) and vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communication.
